Stephanie Streb, DNP, MHS, PMHNP-BC, is a licensed provider in psychiatric mental health treating children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Streb’s expertise includes medication responsive psychiatric disorders (e.g. ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, autism spectrum disorders, bipolar disorder, OCD).  She is well known and well liked for her ability to quickly and sincerely connect with, educate, and treat both children and parents, by providing medication and behavior management approaches which make a difference for child and the entire family.

Finding a mental health provider who you are comfortable with and trust is crucial to your wellbeing. As an experienced mental health provider, Dr. Streb thinks broadly, integrates academic knowledge, and approaches patient care with perspective. After over a decade of experience in public health programming, education, research, and management, Dr. Streb is focusing her strengths and skills one-on-one with patients.

While no one has seen it all, she has seen quite a bit.   Prior to earning her doctorate degree, Dr. Streb earned a Master’s degree in public health, worked as hospital-based RN in neurology, and currently serves as adjunct faculty at local universities in the departments of Community/Public Health Nursing.  In 2006, she was the recipient of a Fulbright grant and worked on health-related stigma issues in West Africa.  While a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa, Dr. Streb embraced the saying, “going slowly does not prevent you from arriving.”  Adding to those two experiences, she is a  parent to two children, currently in elementary school.

Dr. Streb knows the value of time, the correct diagnosis, and importance of education – not just of the condition, but the medications, what to expect, and how to measure success.  She believes in taking the time with her patients, educating them on their options, and focusing on their strengths and competencies to create a plan that will work to improve their mental health and achieve their life goals.

Dr. Streb has authored several published studies and lectures at the University of Maryland School of Nursing on psychiatry and mental health issues.  She has a special passion for helping tweens and teens and is committed to making a difference with all of her patients.

Dr. Streb practices at CPE Clinic, LLC in Annapolis and Lutherville.
